Single Serving Salad Dressing

I often see some great looking salad dressings that I would love to try but they are all for a jar full or some similar quantity. My boyfriend isn’t big on salad and hates anything with vinegar so what am I supposed to do with a jar of fresh dressing?!

After months of using a squeeze of lemon or a splodge of mayo, I have come up with the answer. Hazar! (I’m not sure if that is a word but it felt right)

All you need is a mini tupperware or jar…preferably something with a good seal or you will need to be gentle, and some good quality dressing ingredients.

One of my favourites is 1tsp Apple Cider Vinegar, 2 tsp Olive Oil and a tiny pinch of Salt and Pepper.

Put the ingredients in your little pot and add lid. Shake like crazy and voila! Dressing! If your pot is small enough you can take it to work with your salad and add when ready to eat. Otherwise, chuck it on and wash up your little pot for next time.

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Garden Time

I’m pretty sure I have posted before about my love of sunshine an my veg patch so heres a little bit more.

My strawberries and french beans have been and gone. Both were fresh tasting and delicious but I didn’t get a great deal from either as they were all in pots. Oh and I had some lovely waxy new potatoes that I devoured!

Next up are:

About 6 small tomato plants

A large tub full of beetroot which intend to harvest the leaves from and then pull up the root itself.

Also still to come are parsnip, carrots and kale. I have some courgettes going but they keep falling off the plant before they get very big.

I also chose the exercise in the garden today and there is a lovely cooling breeze/wind. If I wasn’t going out for dinner tonight I would eat out here too.

I hope you are all having a great summer!
